EMAK Group will complete the development of
Port Ghalib City and implement the infrastructure works for the second phase,
by the end of 2018, next to the camel yard by paving the roads and extending
the facilities. The second phase will cover 12 million square meters and will
include a wide range of hotels, lakes, villas and luxury residential units. The
design of Port Ghalib was developed by the American “EDSA” consulting office.
The construction of the
first stage of Port Ghalib has been implemented on 8 million square meters of
the total area of the project, which is 30 million meters. The cost of
infrastructure and facilities in the first phase is estimated by about 1.2
billion dollars and includes 5 integrated hotels and touristic resorts, with a
total of more than 1500 rooms, an international conference center which is considered
the largest in the region as it can accommodate up to 3000 guest, a Corniche
with a wide range of restaurants and cafés, and a 165-room shopping mall with
an oriental character, to offer a unique shopping service.
Port Ghalib has been
able to attract the world's attention to reveal new investment opinions that
will participate in solving many national economic problems and also act as a
tourist first interface for the Red Sea region and the first major gateway to
the country in the south.
