General Hany Okab, Chairman of EMAK for operating and management of airports Company, confirmed that Marsa Alam International airport is witnessing a significant flow of tourism traffic according to the contracts done by the different airline companies and the airport during this season, pointing out that Marsa Alam city is now on top of the list of tourist destinations in Egypt because of its unique tourist elements distinguish it from its counterparts.

He confirmed that the flow of Polish and Czech tourism is highly increasing, recently, in addition to German tourism, Which occupies the first place among the incoming nationalities to Marsa Alam, as well as, Italian tourism in the second place.

He added that the airport administration is exerting all efforts to provide safety and comfort to all passengers in addition to the incentive programs for airlines operating at the airport.

He also explained that Egyptian airlines have a strong presence at Marsa Alam airport after the joining of both Air Arabia and AMC, in addition to Air Cairo which considered as the most operational airline. Also, Some German companies joined the list of companies operating at the airport, such as Corendon airline, which will start operations on Thursday.

General  Okab predicted that the summer season of 2018 in Marsa Alam will achieve the highest rate of tourism traffic during the last ten years.

Mohamed Tamman, Public relations Manager at Marsa Alam International Airport, said that the Airport is working hard to provide all the comfort and safety of all passengers in addition to the incentive programs for the airlines operating at the airport.

All of the above reflects the company's efforts to participate in all international exhibitions and conferences and to be a permanent member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA)
