In a move to boost Egyptian tourism, the
British travel company “Thomas Cook” has published a video campaign on its
official Facebook page to encourage tourists to visit Egypt to spend their
winter holiday. The slogan for this campaign was “from glorious beaches to
historical landmarks, there are plenty of reasons why Egypt should be on your

that one of the most important reasons to visit Egypt that the Red Sea is well-known
for its pure crystal water, which is ideal for discovering more than 1200 types
of underwater life, and also the sunny weather, and the different varieties of
delicious food and cuisines.
The company advised their customers on its official website to spend their holidays at the resorts of Marsa Alam and Hurghada, as an alternative for Sharm el sheikh, as England still banning the direct flights to the, highlighting available diving trips and activities to be done and the weather forecast for the winter season.
That was a step after the company has announced that it will re-operate their flights to Egypt, specially Hurghada and Marsa Alam as main destinations, after a nine year of offline. Their first flight to Marsa Alam Airport will be on the 19th of October 2017. They will operate 2 flights, on weekly basis, on an Airbus 321 type, from Gatwick, on Mondays and Thursdays.
“The re-launch of Thomas Cook flights to Marsa Alam, after 9 years of offline, reflects the confidence of the English tourism in the city of Marsa Alam and affirms its unique constituents and touristic characteristics that attract the British tourists” General Hany Okab, the Chairman of EMAK Marsa Alam Airport company, said. “it also reveals and confirms the success for the airport’s management in attracting more touristic trips and international airlines to the area” he added.
He also pointed that the city of Marsa Alam becomes, in the time being, as main destination for the European tourism generally, specially the German tourism which ranked the first nationality among all European countries.
According to Marsa Alam airport, the management will provide a high standard of services starting from the aircraft arrival, passing through all airport check in procedures, as VIP services will be provided to all Thomas Cook passengers.
General Okab confirmed the increase of new airlines from different destinations for the next winter season.
